Five months and two weeks. That’s how long it took to reopen a beloved quilt shop in Seymour. “Relieved. Yeah, I think maybe relieved,” expressed owner Cheryl Ogrisek. Cheryl and her husband Brian faced significant challenges after a historic flood ravaged their shop during the summer, affecting numerous homes and businesses across southwestern Connecticut.
The flood left a lasting impact on the local community, but the Ogriseks' determination to restore their business never wavered. After extensive repairs and renovations, the quilt shop is once again welcoming customers, providing a sense of normalcy to the area.
The reopening has been met with enthusiasm from loyal patrons who have eagerly awaited the chance to return. The Ogriseks are grateful for the support they’ve received from the community during this challenging time. As they look to the future, their commitment to quality and craftsmanship remains stronger than ever, symbolizing resilience in the face of adversity.
