Axes and Allies, the popular axe-throwing business in Wilmington, has officially changed hands, with local couple Bill and Lauren Symanski stepping in as the new owners. The couple purchased the business located at 1122 S. Third St. from its founder, Mia Troy, earlier this week.
In a statement, the Symanskis expressed their enthusiasm about taking over the business, acknowledging the strong foundation laid by Troy. "Mia did an incredible job creating and growing the business," they said. "We’re excited to continue what she started and look forward to building on the strong community that already surrounds Axes and Allies."
Founded in 2018, Axes and Allies features multiple throwing lanes, a bar offering craft beers and wine, and a cozy cabin-themed lounge. Troy reflected on her journey, stating, "This business has been such a rewarding part of my life," and expressed confidence in the Symanskis’ ability to elevate the venue further.
The new owners plan to maintain operations at the current location while enhancing the customer experience, ensuring that Axes and Allies remains a beloved spot for group outings, parties, and corporate events.
