Lane Changes Coming to Business Loop 70 in Columbia

Construction crews are set to implement lane shifts on a portion of Business Loop 70 in Columbia beginning next week. Starting the morning of July 3, the driving lane will be closed between Eastland Circle and Hinkson Creek. As a result, traffic will be rerouted into the center turn lane to accommodate ongoing construction activities.
Motorists are advised to anticipate delays and exercise caution while navigating through the altered traffic patterns. The construction is part of a larger effort to improve infrastructure in the area, and officials are urging drivers to stay alert for signage and flaggers that will be present to guide them safely through the work zone.
