A lawsuit filed in Palm Beach County is putting reality television personality Jill Zarin back in the headlines, this time for a business dispute centered on the booming sport of pickleball. The civil suit alleges breach of contract and fiduciary duty concerning a failed venture to open a chain of indoor pickleball facilities.
According to court documents, Zarin and her business partner, a Florida man, formed a company in 2022 with plans to capitalize on the sport's explosive popularity. The plaintiff claims he was responsible for securing locations and investors, while Zarin would leverage her celebrity status for branding and promotion. The partnership allegedly unraveled when Zarin ceased communication and independently pursued similar business opportunities.
The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of thirty thousand dollars, claiming Zarin's actions violated their partnership agreement and directly harmed the business. The suit highlights the high-stakes commercial interests now surrounding recreational sports, where celebrity endorsements and investments are becoming increasingly common. Zarin has yet to publicly comment on the pending litigation, which is now in its early stages in the Florida court system.
