Chelsea Powers, co-founder of the creative agency Bluebird & Co., is leaving the company to dedicate more time to her expanding family and other business interests. The announcement was made last month alongside co-founder Flannery Buchanan.
Powers, who also holds ownership stakes in the lifestyle brand Reset and the modern game company Mountain Mahj, will transition out of her daily role at the agency. The move marks a significant shift for the firm, which has built a reputation for blending strategic branding with cultural storytelling.
Buchanan will remain at the helm of Bluebird & Co., steering the company into its next phase. The two founders described the separation as amicable and rooted in mutual respect. Powers expressed confidence in Buchanan's ability to lead the agency forward, while Buchanan acknowledged Powers' foundational role in shaping the company's identity.
The departure comes as Bluebird & Co. continues to serve a roster of clients in fashion, hospitality, and consumer goods. No further changes to the leadership team have been announced. Powers has not disclosed specific plans for her other ventures but indicated she will remain active in those businesses.
